Panorama photography

In addition to the traditional field of application, which captures the expansive view and serves to depict a wide range of objects due to the spatial conditions, there are two other important areas of application in panoramic photography.

On the one hand, it serves to increase the resolution, for example to enable larger prints for exhibitions. Secondly, it opens up the possibility of controlling the depth of field in the subject itself. These last two aspects are of particular importance to me, but might not be known to many panorama photographers.

In addition to these three areas of application, we will also deal with the process of panorama photography, from the recording to the final optimisation on the PC/MAC. To answer a frequently asked question: Is expensive equipment necessary to create landscape panoramas? Gerhard's answer is no. Although he has access to a wide range of accessories, his landscape panoramas are created without this equipment, as you will see in the seminar or in the accompanying exhibition.
