My photographic interests cover a wide range of subjects - and this portfolio offer a small insight into my multifaceted work.
Stay up to date with the latest events and developments from the world of photography! Don't miss any more news and be inspired by our passion for photography.
For over four decades, I have been involved with the most diverse aspects of photography. Over time, however, the focus has changed, as the following (chronological) list shows: Bird and landscape photography (35mm, analogue) - landscape photography (from medium to large format, analogue) - study of photography at the Prague School of Photography (analogue, with lots of darkroom work) - 2003 switch from analogue to digital in the 35mm segment with great learning potential during a trip to Iceland lasting several weeks - the diploma thesis from the Prague School of Photography becomes the first book (we discover, that we complement each other well as a team) - digital prints on fine art papers is a logical consequence in the digital workflow (here the photography becomes very IT-heavy) - 2008 a hard cut (sale of the complete analogue large format equipment) and purchase of a digital Hasselblad - inspired by the special perspective of the Prague School of Photography, we write our third book "Komposition und Bildwirkung", for which we win the German Photo Book Award (category specialist book) in 2008 - with the fascination for details and fine structures, microphotography is added as a new focus of work and thus adding further completely different challenges - microscopic photography techniques (reflected light, transmitted light, UV ... ) - necessary preparation techniques (cutting, colouring, fixing, grinding, etching ...) - a large number of microscope/camera adaptations, some of them very elaborate - five years after this deep dive, our fifth book "Microphotography" was published - since 2015, a number of articles have been written on specialised topics and the knowledge has been passed on in numerous workshops - thanks to stacking and stitching, microscopic images can also be printed in large format - one of the next projects is the three-dimensional representation of an insect.
We are happy to answer your questions in the area of our main topics. We are keen to expand our range and expertise and take on new challenges or help you to customise your equipment for new issues. See you soon and enjoy your photography!
